The ribbon-cutting ceremony of "Athletes Academy, the event organised by Sportive Digitali and Sport Business, dedicated to all athletes of all genres and disciplines who want to invest in their training to prepare for post-career professional life will start on 29 March, as announced.
It will be hosted by the Coverciano Football Museum. It will take place in this iconic sports location free of charge and will involve 40 athletes and athletes from Olympic and Paralympic disciplines who will participate in two training/informative lectures on the topics of new professions related to the sports industry.
The intention is to help the athletes present orient themselves in their choice of training to find their place within two areas: the first dedicated to the sports management and the other to the technical figures that revolve around the sport.
"Athletes Academy represents for many sportsmen and women the chance to build a career after the one they have experienced 'on the fields', building on the experience they have gained over many years. - explains Nicola Carbonara, CEO of Sport Business Academy - . At the same time, it focuses on the need for completion, expansion and updating of the training acquired, enriching it with content and skills that are urgently needed in this ever-evolving sector. Sport Business Academy does just that: it seeks to bring together the world of sport and management with the demand of the labour market, providing those who wish to pursue their careers in sport with many opportunities and, above all, excellent tools to fill certain roles in the best possible way'.
Athletes Academy: who will speak
Some special guests will speak at the event:
Matteo Marani, President of the Coverciano Football Museum Foundation.
Raffaella Masciadri, President of the CONI Athletes Commission, former captain of the national women's basketball team and member of the FIBA World Players Association.
Alessandra Ortenzi, Hoepli and Maggioli author, journalist and expert in digital strategies and sports PR and lecturer in the masters in Sports Communication and Management.
What will be the topics of the Training Workshops
After an introduction by Matteo Marani on the importance of sports culture as the basis for training the athletes of the future, the two training workshops will be given to the other two guests.
Specifically, Raffaella Masciadri will talk about: 'The sports manager of the future: directions and motivations'.
How much does it help to be an athlete if you want to be a sports manager when you grow up? What careers and opportunities are available to you? The speech will help to understand how to become a sports manager and how to study, gain experience and get involved so that the sports system evolves, choosing the best path, leveraging one's talents and inclinations. Raffaella Masciadri will tell of her direct experience: from captain of the national basketball team to President of the CONI Athletes Commission second consecutive term.
It will be followed by Alessandra Ortenzi with his intervention: 'Technological sport: the transformation of careers'.
From journalist to press office, from sports event management to understanding new technological platforms. So many paths open up as opportunities for the sports professionals of the future. Does being a former athlete help? In what way? How does one choose the most congenial path? These are some of the questions we will try to answer together, analysing the impact that technology is having on sport. Alessandra Ortenzi, author of texts on digital marketing and expert in technological sports strategies, will help the boys and girls understand what the sports professions of the future are.
