First day without medals at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games for the Italy Team. Anticipation was high for the Italian flag bearer Michela Moioli in Snowboard Crosswho finished third in the semi-final run and fell, fortunately without serious consequences, in the small final.

Kevin Kok, former professional snowboarder and discovery+ talent, analysed the performance: "It was really a pity because Michela was very fit but found herself in a very tough semi-final with Lindsey Jacobellis (USA) and Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) who eventually finished with a gold and a silver respectively. In the first part of the race Moioli had managed to exploit every section well just behind Jacobellis. But today we saw Trespeuch particularly fit and fast. Michela made a slight mistake in the middle part of the race which opened the door for the French athlete, she took advantage of the last section and managed to overtake our Italian."

Tomorrow, Thursday 10 February, among the scheduled events, all live in full and on-demand on discovery+There will be eight finals that will award medals. For the Italian colours, Francesca Lollobrigida returns to the track, competing in the 5000 metres of speed skating.

In the meantime, Federica Brignone is preparing for the Super G, scheduled for Friday 11 February from 4:00. The skier, fresh from silver in the giant slalom, told discovery+ microphones: "Tomorrow I will finally put on my long skis especially to try this snow. There will be skiing on the piste, which will be something new because we compared to the men usually do the Super G without having rehearsed, without having put the skis on the piste. And it's quite a complex thing. I will try to have a good feeling right away."

Only thanks to discovery+, the Discovery group's OTT platform - with more than 1,200 live hours over the 19 days of competition and up to 6 simultaneous channels dedicated to all 15 disciplines and the 109 events planned - it is possible to have access to every moment of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games.
